- Bolivian diplomats returning to Bolivia are not entitled to duty-free exemptions
- Non-diplomats can import used household goods and personal effects, but they are subject to duties and taxes

MOTOR VEHICLES

- Authorization MUST be obtained prior to shipping from SGS or Inspectorate for vehicles of F.O.B. value over $12,000
- Vehicle must have original steering wheel on left side
- Vehicle must be no more than 4 years old
- Diesel powered vehicles cannon exceed 4000 CC (4.0 L)

- Commercial Invoice
- Certificate of driving conditions, proving that the vehicle is in good condition
- Insurance Policy (original and two copies)

- Verifying Certificate (for non-diplomatic vehicle shipments)

PETS
- Health Certificate and inoculation required
- Most pets can be imported provided the shipper has a certificate of health and recent proof of rabies vaccination. Importer must be present for clearance. May be subject to payment of 32% duty.
LIQUOR
All liquor within a shipment will be subject to duty and tax. Must present an inventory with exact number of bottles. Importer's presence is required. Subject to payment of 42% over CIF value
